Whenever we purchase jeans, we always take time to choose one that is right for us. Right in the sense that the fit is comfortable and it looks good on us. It doesn’t necessarily have to be the latest trend but something that hasn’t gotten out of style, too.
Most of us find value in owning jeans in different styles and sometimes in different brands. We consider them already a part of our daily activities because of their versatility. They can be worn anywhere and for any occasion. But for many of us, they’re so practical to use in the workplace.
While it is true that styles often change, it is better for us to stick to jeans in brands that have been tried. Worth mentioning are the classic ones that will literally remain in the market for years. One such brand is Levi’s which has established itself as a maker of quality, long-lasting jeans.
I’m someone who does regular work for a machine shop. All days throughout the week I’m busy tinkering around doing some repairs, changing spare parts and sometimes do overhaul jobs. Therefore, you will always find me in my working clothes specifically comfortable jeans. I choose colors that have a dirty look like faded blue or irregular brown shades. I do so to prevent dirt spots and grease that stick to to them from being too obvious.
Many of my jeans were cheap ones and I bought them solely for practicality. But one time, in one of my slack days, I entered a jeans shop and bought myself a pair of Levi’s men’s carpenter jeans. It’s the one designed for big men like me. The jeans were nicely sewn and the price was affordable. I liked the feel of the cotton fabric and the waist is cut slightly bigger compared to jeans of other brands.
But, it did me justice because I prefer jeans that are very comfortable to work with. Then with 7 pockets, I can carry anything with me including my cell phone without having to get up from the corner where I’d work. It has a loose-fit style which gives my long legs room to breathe whenever I move around.
After years of working, I realized the mens carpenter jeans are the ones which would suit me most. Not only do they fit well, I can also wear them for casual occasions.
Well, since I was quite satisfied with the first pair I had, I gave myself the luxury of buying a new one for Christmas. This time, I purchased Levi’s mens carpenter jeans with a design that sits low on the hips. It has a straight cut with a 20” leg opening. I’m so pleased with this jeans because they kind of fit in all the right places.
They’re a little expensive though but since I can wear them for special occasions, no regrets on my part for buying them. I could pair them with some cool, branded shirts of mine. It would also be a good match for leather shoes or sneakers for everyday wear.
It’s been almost a year now since I bought my second pair of Levi’s men’s carpenter jeans and I noticed some signs of wearing out already. There is a small tear somewhere near the knees which I didn’t expect. So to cover it up and to prevent the tear from getting bigger I sewed a small patch over it.
Levi’s probably used a material which has a lower quality but maybe frequent wearing could have played a role in it, too. Except for this one problem, with the level of comfort I experienced wearing this jeans, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another pair of Levi’s mens carpenter jeans once again.
